This summer offering of the Spark Project is designed for students who want the time and space to develop an idea into something meaningful. Whether starting with a rough concept or a growing interest, students will move through a flexible framework that includes research, planning, prototyping, and launching a project.
The course runs over 12 weeks, but work is not structured on a fixed weekly schedule. Instead, students progress at their own pace within the timeframe, allowing for depth, iteration, and genuine exploration. Throughout the process, each student will engage in 1:1 meetings to receive personalized guidance and support at key stages.
The Spark Project is ideal for students who may not have had the opportunity to pursue a project during the school year, or who want to take their ideas further in a focused environment. Projects can take many forms and reflect a wide range of interests.
The course culminates in a final presentation, where students share their process, learning, and outcomes. For some, this may become the foundation for continued work—whether through further development, collaboration with others, or future presentation opportunities such as Spark Tank.
